Hi,
I have created a Matrix item in RMS and would like to know if it can be used in this way
- Cashier scans a general barcode "BOXES"
- system brings up the items I have created i.e. "square Boxes", "rectangular Boxes", etc etc
- Cashier selects the item via touchscreen
Is this how a Matrix item works in RMS? or is it just for the ease of creating the same type of items in RMS?because each item in the matrix has its own barcode/unique identifier, it will be quite difficult to ring up all the items individually at the cashier if cashier have to scan each and every item

The matrix is designed around style/size/colour but I tried your example using a main sku for boxes and then setting up "square", "flat" and "rectangle" as a single dimension. It did prompt at POS to enter the dimension but not a price. Have you tested or gone through the help screen / RMS users guide for more detailed instructions?
