Print Button from Screen Printout

Posted on by 270

Recently selecting the print button from a screen printout, the print box no longer appears so you may select number of copies and or page range.

Is there a set up feature that has been inadvertently changed?  If so, where is this?

Running GP version 10

Thanks!!! -- I found it -- a check box....that was checked that shouldn't have been.

There is a setting within "Named Printers" that is "Always Ask" for a particular document.  I have found that to be helpful because it pops up the "select printer" box which I think you are looking for.  Good luck navigating Named Printers though....  I found that it can be difficult to navigate.

It is basically having you assign a user to a printer for a document depending on what machine they are on.....  Something like that.

Thanks for the reply -- I'm aware that I can't change the printer.

I'm just trying to change the number of copies and the print box showing the default printer does not appear when I hit the print button from the screen output -- just goes automatically to the printer with one copy.

    Karen,

The key is to go to print setup prior to printing the report/document. Then you have access to destination printer, number of copies and such. If you run the report to the screen first, then your only option is to send a copy to the default destination (printer) you have established.

     Hope that helps!
