Microsoft Dynamics GP Inventory Report

ReportReport

I have been trying to create a simple report using Smart Reports to generate an item list that shows Item Number, Item Description, Current Cost and Price.  I have been able to create the report with everything but the price and have reviewed many different ways to try and come up with this information.

Does anyone have any experience with creating this type of report and would you be willing to share with me?

Thanks,

Kenny

To do that in SmartList you need the SmartList Builder module.  Most of the information you need is in the Item Master table (IV00101) but the price is actually in IV00106 and this table is not part of the Inventory Smartlists delivered with the default collection.  If you have SLB, you can easily link the tables and pull the data together.

     Hello Kenny,

Sorry in advance if the translation if it's somewhat of blur( my application is in Spanish) but we had this same problem at the office and did the following procedure.

    Go to:

    Reports>inventory>item (article)

in the reports column choose list of item price then press new in options write the name or small detail of the report (example: multiquip) then in the intervals choose article number, then pick the range of the item numbers if you want to pick them all just go right ahead ( i picked 002-001 to 002-235, because i want the information of only the multiquip items we have) then press insert, then press destination and select screen or if you later want to also open it in excel then also put a check mark on file, then click on the folder and choose the destination where you want to save it, save as type: file delimited by commas in file format: be sure it says delimited by commas and then select replace and ok then save it and then print it.

But if the way the information on this report is displayed you don't like it you have got 2 options:

1.- modify the report ( not recommended if newbee to Dynamics GP)

2.- Use smartlist to custom make your report. ( don't know how to include price in the smartlist columns only current cost)

If you're looking to build your own report, you may find this SQL code useful: http://victoriayudin.com/2009/06/18/sql-view-for-inventory-quantities-on-hand/.
