SharePoint integration with D365 app

Hello,

I'm trying to advise a customer on SharePoint integration with our D365 app and am going round in circles with the licensing requirements.

Do you know if you need the full blown D365 for Sales Enterprise licence (plus a SharePoint license such as provided in O365 E3), or if the cheaper PowerApps per user plan plus O365 would suffice?

My hunch is the PowerApps per user would work! BUT I have read so many different articles, I am getting myself confused!!!

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Eiken,

Thank you for your response. However, I am needing to know which licenses are required for SharePoint integration with Dynamics 365.

    Thanks,

    Sonia

Hello Sonia , you will need a SharePoint Online(Plan 2)  which you can find in the following Microsoft license's :

you will also need a Dynamics 365 license with SharePoint integration capability please see the attached (regarding Dynamics 365 sales ):

    I hope this helps.

While your question seems to have been addressed, it's important to consider a significant security risk when integrating Dynamics and SharePoint that you might not be aware of. Storing Dynamics 365 documents in SharePoint allows any SharePoint user to access them, potentially exposing private documents and sensitive data. To mitigate this risk, I would recommend CB Dynamics 365 to SharePoint Permissions Replicator. It automatically synchronizes Dynamics privileges with SharePoint permissions, ensuring that only authorized users can access your documents. This process is seamless and user-transparent, providing data protection and aiding compliance with regulations like GDPR.
