Management reporter: Designing report using consolidated account

Posted on by 725

Hi All,

Is there anyway we can design management reporter row definition on 'Default consolidation account' instead of main account or account category?

    Hello BDO,

Account and Transaction attributes show up as available once values have been configured/posted for them. There is no security applied to who can select an available attribute in the Report Designer. If you are looking for the account attribute "Consolidation Account" but you do not see it, then I would have to assume there are no accounts configured with a consolidation account in Dynamics AX. Please make sure to configure an account and then wait for the data mart to update which should only take a minute or two based on the default settings. Then, close and re-open the Report Designer so it can display the new options available.

If you need further assistance with getting an attribute to display in the Report Designer, please start a new forum thread so we can keep that topic separate from this one.

    Thanks!

What user role do you have assigned in AX?

    Are you security admin?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanks for the fast answer!

I have not all these choices. Should I do something special to have them?

    Many thanks.

    Hello Reinhard,

I was looking for the same, could you guide me with the "Row modifier form" in D365 or is it a function that doesn't exist anymore. I have double click in the row definition on the "row modifier but nothing happens.

    hanks very much in advance!

    Hi Zeeshan,

I would probably enter all main accounts in column J; either by entering from and to values or by using a wildcard *. The row modifier will then pickup and filter the accounts and amounts correctly. Please double check and verify in your environment.

    Thanks,

    Ludwig

    Thanks Ludwig,

in that case should i leave the 'Link to Financial dimension' empty, as i would need values to be filtered only based on consolidation account?

    Hi,

In Management Reporter you can refer to the default consolidation account that you Setup in your ledger accounts in the row modifier form. Simply search for the Attribute "consolidation account" and enter your consolidation account. Please note that you do not have a drop down box available for selection and Need to enter the consolidation account manually into the field.

    Hope this helps,

    Ludwig
