(0) ShareShare

Hello,

I have not clear idea about the solutions which are exported from Dynamics 365 Online with version  8.0,8.1 and 8.2.Then in which account they can import?

Also I want to know that can I import that solutions developed and exported from online account into on-premises account? And if yes then same confusion as above.

Please help me out from this confusion.

Thank You.

    Hi,

Please see section "Version Compatibility" here:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334576.aspx

Basically you can export version 8.2 of solution and import it only on 8.2. You can export 8.1 and import it on 8.1 and 8.2 etc.

You can export solution from online and import in on-premise it's not a problem but there are the same contraints

    Hi Pawel,

Thanx for your reply. If my export version is 8.0 then can import in 8.0,8.1,8.2.Are you saying that?I just want to confirm that.

And for on-premise,As you say I can add solution exported from online. So Is there a same release as online? for e.g. Now there is Dynamics 365 latest version in online .So, at that time is there any release of  on-premises with same version?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can import 8.0 to 8.0, 8.1, 8.2.

Remember that Online versions can also be different - you can decide when to upgrade your version of Online. If it's 8.0 or 8.1 then there are On-Premises versions. There is no 8.2 systems for On-premise yest, but it's supposed to be released by the end of this year.
