Dear Expert,

We are using NAV 2013R2 , and we can archive and restore sales order and sales quotes in the system , but just Purchase order can not be found the restore function in the Purchase order archive pages, is it normal ? if so , May I know the reason behind for missing this function on PO section? Thanks.

Best Regards,
Anson

    Hi,

No the functionality is not in there to restore Purchase docs just sales documents.

You could write one, basically copy restore sales document function and change it to PO.

We can not comment on the reason of not having such functionality in Purchase Order.

This is not there even in latest NAV 2016 version.

If at all needed, you can use the RestoreSalesDocument function reference from CU 5063 and create similar function for restoring purchase document. This should be easy job.

It is indeed not an option for the Purchase Order.

My best guess for that reason is that you as a company has certain variability in issuing sales documents, but for the vendor documents, you do not have that variability and thus you do not need restore function.

That is, you can issue sales document and than face a need of changing that due to your error or some other reason. In case of purchase order, you receive it from your vendor as a final document and normally you do not have other option but to book it, without further restoring.
