Hi,

If I would like to use Logic App to send file to Dynamics 365 FO, and follow the below article for inbound

I think I need to create a data import project, but which means I need to create a data entity. Does it mean that this is only working for existing data entities, but not working for any other custom files?

What files? You call AX web services from logic apps; it's not about files.

And yes, the connector works with OData services exposed by AX, which are based on public data entities. But it doesn't mean that you can't use other types of web services.
