invoices-menu-item.jpgHow do I remove a menu item from the left side navigation? We don't use the Invoices function and therefore want to hide it. Thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

You can control the navigation menu by modifying the site map.

    Here are steps to follow:

    • Go to Advanced Settings -> Applications -> Apps.

    • Open the app you use, in the editor mode (for example Sales Hub).

    • On the Site Map tile, click on the pencil icon to open the site map in edit mode.

    • Click on Invoices under the Collateral section, and then click on the Delete button.

    • Save the sitemap and then click Publish.

Refresh the Dynamics 365, you won't found Invoices in the menu now.

This will permanently remove the Invoice menu from this app, however, you can add it at a later stage.

If your purpose is to hide this menu for a specific users, you can set the privileges on a sitemap item, follow this thread:

Is there a way to hide these options, rather than delete them?

    Hello Royce,

You can also configure the site map entities by using the different privilege's using the OOB or

using XRM tool box, so that you don't need to delete this components.

    OOB waywww.alphabold.com/.../

    www.inogic.com/.../

    Xrm Tool box - spandcrm.com/.../

So when you are applying this rules. when a user will have the Required privilege then they will able to see else it will be hidden from them.

    Thank you,

    Amit katariya
