Hi,

I have customer requirement when we create a Rebate deals, for all items but filter it by Cost centre.
Basically they have sub categories of products in cost centre and Item is the main category.

I have used filter option on the deal but it is not picking up when process for Provision.

Any other way I can filter the items by cost centre in the Rebate deals?

    Hi Kruti,

From where do you take the cost center? Is it a default value on the released product or used on sales orders? Can you tell us more about where you applied what filter? Maybe you can provide more step-by-step details about the process you followed to help us understand how you use the rebates.

    HI Andre,

So when I create a new deal, I want to put the filter on the Deal itself for the cost center, so it will only pick up products that is invoiced for the particular cost center.

    1. create a Rebate deal for customer X for all the items which are invoiced and paid and other essential details such as posting profile, dates and rebate percentage.
    2. Now when i Process the rebate I only want invoices that has Cost center E0010 as you can see in the screenshot, but it doesnt pick up. it only picks up if Transaction Type is Sales order.

how can i use the filter maybe am i doing something wrong here? I am fairly new to this module as well.

    Hi,
It is the first time I am seeing this Filter button; I will need to test and see how it behaves.
To answer your question, I can get Main account.Costcenter to show as a field in the query under Customer invoice lines.

    Hi Kruti,

The financial dimensions are not stored in the main account field. The main account can be used as an expense account to override default inventory posting settings. You can find the default dimension > cost center value via the linked inventory dimension.

    I got this to work.
I needed to use Dimension.CostCenter (as it's a financial dimension).

I entered two sales order lines, both with different cost centers, and the provision only picked up the matching cost center as the source transaction.

Try this out and see if it works for you.

yes this only works for Transaction type ORDER, it doesn't work for INVOICE some reason.

    Hi Kruti,

Have you tried linking the inventory transaction to the invoice journal line data source in the query form as I mentioned below?

You mentioned Inventory Dimensions - and i only see Batch number, License plate, warehouse, site etc. no cost center.

Another question actually can we do Rebate Provision for Sales order that invoices and Rebate for Paid invoices only?

I mentioned linking inventory transactions, not filtering on inventory dimensions. On the form inventory transactions, you can check physical and financial ledger updates. These details do have the financial dimensions.
