In an effort to keep our records clean, we have been updating our vendor cards in GP with current W-9 information to remain in compliance.

Hi,

In an effort to keep our records clean, we have been updating our vendor cards in GP with current W-9 information to remain in compliance. The only caveat to this is that when opening the vendor name search window, you only have the option to search by vendor id, vendor name or additional sorts. There is an item in the additional sorts menu, vendor check name, that we would like to have as one of the main columns to search by within the vendor search window, instead of clicking on additional sorts every time.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Probably the easiest way to accomplish what you are trying to get done would be to create a Vendor Check Name SmartList favorite by adding the Vendor Check Name column to the default Vendor SmartList. Then users could search on this column, and/or scroll through vendors. Double clicking on a vendor record in the vendor SmartLists opens Vendor Maintenance by default.
