Hi All,

I have one Parent Company and 3 Business Units attached to it.

I wanted to create an Opportunity form for one of the Business Units(partially different from the parent company requirement), not afffecting the Parent Company Opprtunity Form.  Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi..

you can create three different forms and assign role to each form. based on user's business unit and role form will be shown to user.

Now for customization.. you can add different rule for each form..

    here is similar discussion

    community.dynamics.com/.../159259

    and for form customization

    technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531143.aspx

    Hope this will help..

    Hi,

You could create the new opportunity form for the BU and use security roles to restrict access to that form - some info here

    Yes.

Only configuration is necessary (no coding).

Create your new form and make it the default form for that business unit team.

    To do this:

I'd suggest you copy the existing form to start (as that will bring a copy of any of the Jscript code with it, and will minimise the manual changes you need).

Go to:  Settings>Customizations>Customise the System>Components>Entities> Opportunities>Forms, open the current form.

Click on Save As and name the new form.  Click on OK.

Go to Form Properties and update the description of the new form.

    Click on OK.

Make any other changes and then save

Enable security roles - who can see this form.

    Publish your changes.

Check any of your existing business rules - if they only apply to a particular form you may need to change them to be All forms instead (if they should still apply).

Then give access to the new form to whoever needs to see it.

    crm user,

You can create a role-based form for this.

And then enable the form only for specific role under one business unit you are referring to.

    Thanks!
