Trial Balance Opening Balances not updating

Hi,

I have posted journals in FY19 which had already been closed.

I then re ran the financial year close after the journals were posted, however the trial balance for FY20 opening balances are all Zero.

I then rebuilt the balances through the below steps as this has fixed this issue before however it did not work this time.

Is there anything else i can do to update the opening balances?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mairead,

How have you been able to post something into a closed period?

Can you share details how you run the trial balance and what parameters have been selected?

Is it possible that you were just hiding the opening balance column?

Hello,

If you have rebuilt the set, you need to make sure, the batch is actually completed.

Kindly check from batch job if your rebuilt batch is completed without error.

If not, find out the error and fix it.

Hi Mairead!

What was the transfer method for "Undo Previous Close" while closing the fiscal year? Tried this by making "Yes".

I think the link shared by Nuno and highlighted by Neeraj are triggering to the same direction. Hopefully it will solve your case.

Also check in GL parameters form what setup you have done there. Please set as below and keep us posted on this.

Hi Neeraj,

Why don't you add a voucher in the closing form?

Also, I would not recommend undoing (deleting) the previous voucher.

In my home country it is not allowed deleting vouchers.

Would be great if you could some additional tests with a voucher number entered in a demo/test system first to see if this makes a difference.
