Compatibility of AX 2009 with Office 2016

`Hi Guys.

My users are currently using Office 365 (2013)
With Ax 2009 (we have a billion customizations which is why we haven't upgraded it yet)

I'm testing Office 365 (2016) on a few of them, as my licenses agreement force me to make the switch within September.

To my horrors I've discovered the connection to Outlook seems lost, like creating mass e-mails from Ax 2009.
I'm reading on this forum that this is because while Ax 2009 is compatible with Office 2013, it isn't with Office 2016.

Can someone confirm this? and/or point me to a place where I can read it
(can't seem to find compatibility/requirements lists that are up to date)

if it is true, which I fear it is.
I have a lot of Work infront of me :)

    Hi P3nnyw1se,

You can download the AX 2009 system requirements guide. This will tell which software is compatible or not.

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

The connection isn't lost. Office 2016 was never implemented in AX2009. Also only in the latest RU for AX 2009 Office 2013 was  implemented.

Personally I don't think Microsoft will update AX2009 to be compatible with Office 2016. There are two newer products: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and the new Microsoft Dynamics AX (aka AX7).

    hi .

I've seen this pdf, and noticed it was issued in 2013, so I would assume even if Dynamics 2009 had extended their support it wouldn't bein that note.

That is why I asked :)

    Hello  P3nnyw1se,

    I had same issue.

    Thanks.
