Purpose of InvenTrans and InventTransNew forms in Dynamics 365 finance and Operations

Hi ,

     I got some requirement to find and analyze the difference and purpose between InvenTrans form and InvenTransNew Form. I need to determine whether these forms serve the same or different functionalities and how to compare their backend code.

    Hi Charan,
     
    Both forms serves the same purpose. There is a feature in feature management where you can enable an option for a performance improvement when loading inventory transactions. If you have this disabled, it will use InventTrans. In case you enable the feature, it will open InventTransNew which loads faster due to some redesign. For the purpose of possibly not breaking customizations there is the option to control whether you are ready for the new form or not.

      I’m facing an issue in D365 FO, where the  search bar opens the old InventTrans form (InventTransListPage) when searching for “transactions,” even after enabling the "Inventory transaction details page performance improvement" feature. When navigating via Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Transactions  the new Transaction Form  opens correctly. Why does the search bar use the old form, and how can I fix this?
