We have a customer that is upgrading from DAX 4.0 to 2009. In their current 4.0 environment, they don't use the production module fully, but they create BOM RAF journals for their finished goods, and they set the parameter for Shortage. When this parameter is set, the sytem is supposed to ONLY explodes the sub-bom when there is not enough inventory to satisfy the quantity of the finished good component. In the 4.0 system, this work as expected, however, in their 2009 system, the sub-boms are ALWAYS exploded even if the parameter is set to Shortage. Any ideas on what would be causing this? Could this be an underlying parameter that is not set properly?

The code that does the explosion properly was REMOVED in 2009, therefore, if a client needs this functionality, the code will need to be pulled from a 4.0 environment.
