Creating a PO from SO

Hi Everyone

We currently have a security filter on Location Code for our Purchase header so that users only work in their branch.

The issue we are facing is that I can't create a PO from my SO - it keeps giving me a security filter on Purchase Header error message even though I select a vendor that is in the correct location.

Any solutions perhaps?

    Hi,

    This issue likely happens because when you create a PO from a Sales Order, Business Central auto-generates the Purchase Header and the Location Code might not be set yet, which conflicts with your security filter.

     

    Make sure the Location Code is carried over early in the process, possibly by setting a default location on the Vendor, Item, or Purchasing Code setup.

    Currently all the Vendors has a Location code assigned to it, SKU's are also setup for the item on location but we still can't perform the function

    Hello,
     
    To resolve the security filter error when creating a Purchase Order (PO) from a Sales Order (SO) in Business Central, ensure the Location Code is set early by configuring default locations on the Vendor, Item, or Purchasing Code setup. Alternatively, adjust the security filters to allow the creation of the Purchase Header before the Location Code is assigned, or implement custom code to assign the Location Code immediately when the Purchase Header is created from the Sales Order.
