Is there a way to generate PowerPoint documents from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 on-premise?

Hi,

No i don't think so there is any OOB way to generate Power-point documents from the CRM 2013, but you can achieve this through your custom logic via open Office SDK.

Hi.

With CRM 2016 document management is included. But I am not sure weither ppt is included, or only word.

I use dox42 for that purpose.

You could register for a free trial. It is not that expensive at all.

But there might br other solutions on the market, as well.

There is no support for generating powerpoint (the new CRM 2016 feature is for Excel and Word Documents).

You will need to create a custom solution using a custom plugin/workflow activity.

Powerpoint files can be generated using openxml - openxmldeveloper.org/.../7429.aspx

Hi,

The CRM 2013 doesn't support it. The CRM 2016 user guide says that you can create Microsoft Powerpoint or word etc using document management. Detailed guide of CRM 2016 you can download it from www.microsoft.com/.../training-adoption-kit-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm.aspx

I'm not able to post the steps but you can define the document location of Sharepoint or onedrive and then create powerpoint document from within CRM.

Only if CRM 2016 then can have document management generator and seems like no PPT as well

But you are using CRM 2013

The only way is build custom app for this.

Even mail merge wont work for PPT and SSRS also by default not generated to PPT
