Vendor aging in original currency

Most of our vendors are paid in US$ currency.  But we report in CDN$.  When I run my vendor aging report, it comes out in CDN$

How can I run a vendor aging report or a balance report,  but I want it to show the balance in the original currency?

Thanks

RE: Vendor aging in original currency

    Hi joebongiorno,

What you need is to generate the vendor aging report based on the 'Transaction currency' which I am not sure if available in this report parameter in AX2009 version! Such option is available in AX2012 or in D365.

This is recommend to contact to Microsoft as they may help you to find such solution.

The reason is, the mainstream support for Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Dynamics AX 2012, and Dynamics AX 2012 R2 ended on October 9, 2018. After that date, only security hotfixes will continue to be provided for these three versions through the extended support period that continues until April 12, 2022 as decided by Microsoft. Please see below link.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/fin-ops/get-started/mainstream-support-ax-2009-2012

So, please log a support case to Microsoft on this.

    Regards,
    Sourav

The AX i am running is AX 2009.  I do not have the option of currency.

My reporting currency is in CDN$.

But the transactions with most of my vendors are in US$.    I only record transactions in CDN$ or USD$.  No other currency.

    Hi,

    Is CDN$ your accounting currency?

What's your reporting currency? Is it US$?

Would you need the vendor aging for a specific vendor only or for all of your vendors?

I assume that you record vendor transactions in currencies other than CDN$ and US$. Is that right?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi joebongiorno,

Which version of Dynamics you are using? AX2009 or AX2012?

Do you have any such option available in the Aging report parameter before you generate this report?

Below screen shot I have taken from D365 Finance just for your understanding.

If you find this option in your version, then please set this and then generate the Aging report and see the outcome.
