Updating Dynamics 365 Apps in Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC)

Recently with more of the admin moving from LCS to PPAC, I noticed there are apps under the 'Dynamics 365 Apps' section under resources that have updates available. I can't find any release notes or information on what has changed in these updates. A few questions:

How are people testing these app updates
How often do you update them
Is there any Microsoft documentation around updates for these apps? I found this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/manage-apps but all it says is HOW to update the apps.
