I have created configuration based on project invoice

assigned to print management

and i am getting the error below

does anyone know if i am missing something?

Hi Hetal, that’s because your format is not completed. Select it, and then on “change status”.

I have set the status to complete and then tried to view the project invoice and i am still getting an error.

i should click view and then original right?

please let know.

Hi Hetal,

Can you generate the report with standard ER config Project invoice (Excel)? If yes, it means that you need check your derived version.

Have you created any modification in your derived model?

Hi Alireza,

Thanks for coming back to me.

I have tried with the standard ER config - Project Invoice (Excel) and get the same error.

I also get the Error message report in my Print management settings... so odd:

Report Format =

ElectronicReporting:{BA458A5A-D11A-4251-

(this is the list of the reports that van be selected)

I have seen elsewhere that because i have a free text invoice and also project invoice in the same model i can only set one model mapping as default. it could this that is throwing up the error as my default model mapping is invoice model mapping not project invoice model mapping.

Would you suggest i create a new derived version of the invoice model and link project invoice model mapping to it?

I did not make changes to my derived version, i have actually deleted it now as i feel like i am missing something in the prerequisites

Do you know if you need to update any parameters or enable any features for the project invoice to run?

I have multiple templates and all work... only project invoice isn't working for me.

Please kindly advise.

Hi Hetal,

If you get the same error message on standard ER config, please check that if the "Invoice model mapping" exists. I recommend to delete the standard Project invoice (Excel) and import it from Microsoft repositories again.

Please check if you can access attachment file of ER config:

You can try to print other project invoices (e.g. with different project type).

I can see your print management does not have destination defined, please complete the configuration on print management and try again.

Hi Alireza,

I removed the template and reimported this and still go the same error.

When i click on the report in ER and click attachments i can see the attachment, but it just won't let me view it when i go via invoice journal.

other ssrs report do work.

Let me know if there is something else i can try

Hi Hetal,

Does the error message has more detail on "View detail"?

Ref. to the error message, It cannot find the report design. In this case, you need to delete the format designer and model mapping + delete user history in D365FO and then import configurations from Microsoft repositories.

In this case, you can try first with a older version of Project invoice (Excel) - i.e. version 226.27 and test if you can generate the report.

If the issue persist, I recommend to check the issue with Microsoft.
