The only way to find out is to contact Microsoft.
However, it was indeed modified to correspond to all versions during the upgrade.

    Thanks.

Hi, I think the version list is shown based on localization, and it defaults according to the country name.
    For CA:
    For BF.
    For AU.
    For SE:

Good morning, afternoon, or evening depending on your location!

This situation could be due to Microsoft's release and update policies for Dynamics 365 Business Central environments.
Here are some possible reasons why only BC26 and BC25.3 are available for new environment creation, while BC25.4 and BC25.5 are not:

    1. Update Rollout Strategy
    • Microsoft often rolls out updates in phases. While BC25.4 and BC25.5 may have been released as cumulative updates, they might not yet be available for new environment creation.
    • These updates could be intended for existing environments as part of the automatic update process rather than for new deployments.
    2. Stability and Testing
    • Microsoft may restrict certain versions from being used for new environments if they are undergoing additional testing or if issues have been identified post-release.
    • This ensures that new environments are created with stable and reliable versions.
    3. Regional Availability
    • The availability of specific versions can vary by region. For example, BC25.4 and BC25.5 might not yet be deployed in your region's data centers.
    4. Licensing or Configuration
    • Certain versions may be tied to specific licensing or configuration requirements, which could limit their availability for new environments.
    Next Steps
    Hope this helps some!
