Hi,

In my project we are migrating data from Pivotal CRM to MS CRM and later we are moving into cloud.

Can anyone share any useful resources or contents that could be helpful for me.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

If you are familiar with .Net you can use the official SDK.

The SDK provides all the functionality you have in CRM.

    Link SDK

If you can't use the SDK there is also the Web Api.

Most methods in the SDK are present in the Web Api and you can use it with any programming language.

    Web Api Documentation

There's also a SSIS component which doesn't require any programming. The component uses the SDK in the background and does the heavy lifting for you.

    Kingswaysoft Toolkit

Last but not least you can import data direct to CRM using excel spreadsheets. It's useful when dealing with a small amount  of entities and records.

    Import Data

Each alternative has its ups and downs. I advise you to evaluate your scenario and pick the best approach.

    Best Regards!

    Thanks for your response!

Can you provide any useful references for SSIS Component usage in Pivotal CRM?

If you have access to the actual database, you can use SSIS with to connect to ODBC or OLE DB datasource to retrieve and manipulate the data, and Kingswaysoft Connector for Dynamics CRM/365 to create the records inside of Dynamics CRM.

If you don't have access to the database, you should find a way to export the data into Excel files or SQL database, and import it using the Kingswaysoft Connector.

    Hope this helps.

Other than Kingswaysoft Connector any alternative solutions.

When working with SSIS Kingswaysoft is the best I know. It is robust and certainly will attend your needs.

The only drawback is its price. If you have a developer and don't want to pay you can use the Dynamics SDK.
