Hi Experts,
We have customized few system and custom entities in dynamics 365(9 version-July update).This solution needs to be imported in dynamics 365(8.2 version).we tried to modify the version number by editing the XML file and tried to import, but it doesn't worked. I know,we can't import the higher version solution to earlier version instance.
Please,suggest me some solution for this and your quick response will be highly appreciated.

I got stuck with similar situation and I was able to resolve all my compatibility problem by following step by step approach.

there isn't an option to select a previous version on v9 and the solution schema has so many differences that it's easier and faster to recreate the customizations as Alex suggested.

Hi,
as you said, it's not supported from V9 to pre-V9 - unless someone has figured out how to hack the solution file for this and wrote up the instructions, the fastest approach might be to just re-create those customizations
