Hello all,  I have a customer that is looking to migrate from Dynamics CRM 2015 to Dynamics CRM version 9.  I have not been able to find any good documentation to help me with this process.  Can anyone send me some information so that I can get started?

    Hi,

    You will need to do 2 upgrades: CRM 2015 (v7) => CRM 2016 (v8) => CRM v9.

    You will find the documentation of previous version of CRM on the following links: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/dynamics-365/sales/dynamics-crm-installations-updates-and-documentation and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/deploy/system-requirements-required-technologies?source=recommendations&view=op-9-1

    Each upgrade is done by installing the next version of CRM on a new server and importing the database (organization database) of the previous version.

    Make sure you have updated the database to the last update (Eg: 8.2) of CRM before upgrading to a newer version (Eg: 9).
