System is not generating inventory transactions while creating PO and Transfer Order.

Kernel Version: 6.3.164.0

Application Version: 6.3.164.0

Issue is related to the inventory Transactions, System is not generating any Inventory transaction while creating PO, TO etc. Above is the version of AX 2012.

Please Advice.

HI Soma Shekara,

Apart from what is suggested above just check what is your default purchase order type.

If the purchase order type is Journal then no inventory transactions will be created for the purchase order.

Make sure the default purchase order type field on the procurement and sourcing parameter is set to purchase order.

Dear Raheel,

I think its matter of refresh.If you will try to refresh that form it will show you in the inventory transaction. Can you please check the following

1. PO workflow and disable change management and refresh the form

2. Check how these items are uploaded. If thought job check the relation table of Item model group,storage dimension group and tracking dimension group are updated.

Same issue happened with one of my friend in Pakistan.

One more thing.

System is not generating transaction with first line of transfer order, other are OK.

No error, product Type is Item, and Stocked Product Item is enabled at item Model Group.

While creating PO as you will add PO line system will create a record in inventory transaction with the ordered qty for stock item. There will be no transaction I mean voucher wise. As you will make product receipt the accrued liability is updated (new feature in AX 2012).

If you will click on sub-ledger button you will find the following entries:

When receipt is posted, two sets of ledger entry is posted:

1.

Purchase expenditure, un-invoiced – Debit

Purchase, accrual – Credit

2.

Product receipt – Debit

Purchase expenditure, un-invoiced – Credit

Make sure your batch transfer rule is synchronous and summary posting is set to no in GL parameter. And post product receipt is ledger check mark is selected in AP parameter.

Do you get any errors? What is the item type of your products? Is the tickbox 'Stocked product' enabled on the item model group setup?
