We are trying to produce our T4s but Box 24 (EI Insurable earnings) will not print correctly on the T4.
After we created the T4s (Tools~Routines~CDN Payroll~T4 and R1 Creation) and printed the T4 report from the same screen, we noticed that the EI insurable earnings have been set to equal the total salary. Since this is not correct, we edited the incorrect T4s (Tools~Routines~CDN Payroll~Edit T4s). On the Edit T4 screen.
When we pulled up an employee to edit we noticed the EI insurable earnings were set to zero for each employee. We updated them to either be their total income or the cap of 41000.00 (whichever was less). However, when we print the T4's the amounts are incorrect.
The employees whose ei insurable earnings were set at the cap (41000.00) print correctly, the rest are showing up as having 0 EI insurable earnings. When we checked out the Edit T4 screens for those employees the EI insurable earnings field had reset itself to zero. Those with EI insurable earnings of 41000.000 had retained the edits.
