Suspended Inventory batch

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello you all

In a Dynamics SL 2011 SP2 installation, I'm getting a suspended inventory batch taht comes from OM. The message I'm getting is:

Batch '102301' has IN transactions IN with duplicate references

If I check the batch in Ini Mode, I'm shown only one item

Invoice CC00040253 7506036081622 CEDIS 00000

This combination of Invoice nbr, ítem number, site an location is not duplicated on the whole batch.

Does anyone knows how to correct this problema?

As it turns out, I just resolved this issue for a client earlier today. Using SQL Enterprise Studion Manager, run the following, replacing <batch> with the batch number:

select batnbr, invtid, lineref, lineid, linenbr, recordid from intran where batnbr = '<batch>'

What you'll likely find is that batnbr, invtid, lineref, lineid, and linenbr are all duplicated. However, recordid is unique. Delete one of the recordid lines for each offending duplicate lineref then release the batch.

Once again Microsoft hides/moves all the knowledge base articles that I would like to read. Only time I find KB articles is on non-Microsoft sites. SMH

The screen does not show the duplicate records but the batch does not release because of the records.

Review the records with this SQL statement

select batnbr, invtid, lineref, rlsed, * from intran where batnbr = '102301'

ID the record to delete then prepare the statement to accomplish that.  Be careful with the KB article referenced below, deleting by LineRef, which is duplicated in the batch, will delete the good and the bad line.

I find many times the Rlsed column makes it combination unique.
