Issues after switching to Claims Auth

Posted on by 1,465

I switched our Dynamics CRM deployment from Windows Auth to Claims Auth. We do not yet have an IFD setup, and ADFS is running on a separate server.

Users can access CRM without any issues, but we're experiencing issues with our Email Router. All of our configurations are the same, except now we reference https instead of http for our CRM endpoint.

We're seeing the following error whenever we try clicking "Load Data" within the Email Router Configuration Manager.

Has anyone else seen this before?

We're running CRM 2016 On Prem with the latest updates.

It's our default solution. Very strange.

We did start with CRM 2011, and we've kept up with updates as they've come out. I'm not sure if anything along the upgrade path could have caused our issues.

    Any other thoughts?

The error message is a bit weird, as it looks more like it relates to a SQL or customisation issue, rather than a deployment one. The error references a solutionid - it would be useful to identify which solution this relates to (from the solution table/view in SQL), which would at least identify if the issue is with any of the Microsoft components, or if it's a 3rd party or internally developed solution

    Great, thanks for confirming.

I haven't seen that message. In the past, I have known the Email Router to case sensitive on the organization name but that might not be the case now.

The error message is not particularly helpful - I ran the query select * from entitykey in my 8.2 on-premises system and it returned no rows.

Sorry, not sure what else to suggest.

I did update the web addresses in Deployment Manager. It was a requirement for enabling Claims.

The web addresses for all for bindings are set to {CRM_DNS}:443, and the binding type is HTTPS.

This is the same URL that I'm using in our Email Router Configuration Manager.

Did you update the web addresses in the Deployment Manager?
