management reporter insert rows from dimensions

Hi,

My client is on GP2013 and MR 2.1.1032.3

In MR Row Definition I click on Edit - Insert Rows from Dimensions and convert two segments to All &&&. Then I enter my ranges on those two segments and click OK. I get the error "no rows could be added based on the specified criteria." As you can see in the screenshot behind, I can manually key the two segments. I can only use the Insert Rows feature if I do NOT use more than one segment.

Hello,

I tried to re-create this error but I couldn't. I would make sure you actually do have Area/Project ids that start with 00000 and 99999. Make sure they exist or change the range so the beginning and end are actual id's.

My client is on GP 2013 and MR 2.1.1033.30 and I'm getting the same message when trying to Insert Rows from Dimensions. I confirmed the actual IDs exist for the account combination I was trying to insert from dimensions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

My client are facing same issue too.

But this only happen if we are using Datamart, Legacy is fine.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I just went from RU5 (which was fine) to CU8 at a client and now I'm getting this same behavior. I also am using a DataMart. Any way to get around this? Has this been reported as a bug?

Hello,

I am having the exact issue reported. MR 2.1.7044.43 - i can only use the edit insert on the main segment, not all for my trial balance report

Did anyone get an answer for this? I have a customer who is having a similar issue. They aren't getting an error when using more than just the "main" segment, but it doesn't populate every single account if using anything more than just the main segment.

It brings in most of the accounts but not all. Any ideas here?

I found out it is by design that Management Reporter will exclude any accounts without activity when using "Add Rows from Dimensions." So, check if the accounts that are missing have any activity.

Hi Melissa,

Thank you for your email. I would have thought the same thing, but we verified several accounts that DID have activity in the current year that it still excluded. We ended up just manually keying the lines we needed.

NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!! :)

Hi Heidi,

Which version of MR2012 are you running ? You may want to do some testing with the Legacy connecctor vs. the DataMart after updating to the latest CU14.
