Need to kill a stuck batch in inventory

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I've got a a Cost of Goods batch that was run on Kit Assemblies and there was a bad price an item, so the batch errored.I can see the batch is Partially Released in the Release IN Batches area, but I cannot stop it completely.

In the past, I believe we'd gone into SQL Management Studio to kill the batch completely, but the person with that knowledge is no longer with our company

We are on Solomon 6.5SP2

Any help would be appreciated.

I was wrong, we aren't able to fix the underlying problem, which is a bin location is blank for an item in the batch.  BUT as per your suggestion, we turned on Initialize Mode, and we're able to go into that batch & delete it so that we can fix the issue & push it through, so thank you Nam !

You open that batch on Kit Assemblies screen and release again in initialize mode.

I'm familiar with SQL commands, I'm just not familiar enough with the SL database & tables to know where the batch data is or how to remove it..

We did find the problem in the Kits and fixed the value.

And I had turned on Initialize Mode and attempted to push the batch through in Release IN Batches, but didn't get anywhere.

    Hi ItsHarry

If you have no  knowledge about SQL, I think you shouldn't do it in SQL. You should try running initialize mode then open that batch on screen. Normally, just only the error line will show up and you can correct it and release again.
