Cancelling a FIRM Planned Production Order

When customers have decided to cancel an order, we need to cancel production orders.

What is the process to cancel a FIRM Planned Production Order.

I read an earlier post that said that Firmed Planned Orders cannot be changed or deleted..

However we cannot go ahead with this order. The order was never started on the production floor.

I have the same question (0)

I agree with YUN ZHU, if this Firm Planned order has no ledger entries, feel free to just delete it.

Hi, if you have not posted any transactions against the production order then you can just delete it.

If you have posted something against the production order then you cannot delete it and you have to finish it.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

RE: Cancelling a FIRM Planned Production Order

If Sales deletes the line on the Sales Order, I believe that will send an Action Message Prod. Order the next time you run Calculate Regenerative Plan from the Planning work sheet, and accepting that action message will cancel the Firm Planned Prod. Order. Obviously if you are running internal Production, you may want to let Production Team know in case work has been started on preparing for that order, or if the Prod. order is from off-site, you will want to inform them of the cancel as well. But, doing the steps above will at least cancel it in NAV (delete)
