Hello,
I'm trying to copy from Excel and copy the records in Business Central, see example below:
the problem is that it doesn't see to recognise line breaks and I'm getting the error below:
The field Bal. Account No. of table Gen. Journal Line contains a value (CABE001 28/02/2022) that cannot be found in the related table (Vendor).
Has anybody seen this type of error before?
Thanks
Alejandra
Morning Zhu,
Vendor name is correct. My file has got over 300 JNLs and the error keeps happening randomly with different vendors. I had to copy and paste in small batches.
Thanks
Alejandra
Hi Kim,
No, one row doesn't work either. I need to manually update the Vendor Name in BC.
It is not this specific vendor, I'm working with a Sheet of 320 JNLs, the first time I tried to copy and past all records I got this error. So I had to do it in small batches, the error keeps happening randomly and not always with the same vendors.
Thanks
Alejandra
Hi, I tested it and it doesn't seem to be a problem, please confirm whether the Vendor number is the problem.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Unsual! try copying one row, does that work?
Hi Kim,
I'm only copying and pasting columns Posting Date to Bal. Account No. and still getting the error.
Thanks
Alejandra
don't highlight the entire row, highlight the cells and then copy/paste.
Hello Kim,
Screenshot is from Excel.
Yes, same columns layout in Excel and BC.
Thanks
Alejandra
Is the above screenshot from Excel?
Do you have the columns layed out the same in Excel as they are in BC?
