In Dynamics AX 2009 for Retail, how to setup different prices for a single item in different stores for all customers?

In our company we have an item whose price is 40 in one store and 25 in another store. What is the correct way to setup AX for Retail in order to get this effect. We tried the following and failed to get the desired result:

1- We created a price group having the lower price and linked this price group to the cash customer of the store. No effect.

2- We tried the location filter wherein we specified the store in the "Groups to distribute to" of the price record in the trade agreement. It works only if you use A-Jobs and sometimes if you need to change the record should be deleted and entered again with the correct "Groups to distribute to".

I also looked at the code that selects the price in the POS. It creates a price arguments object on the store level and another on the customer level. The store level price arguments contain a price group argument but it is always empty, whereas the customer level price argument's price group contains the correct price group linked with the customer account.

Your input is highly appreciated

We have have 2 stores, and items are priced sales per store, create two price groups and assign a price group to each store, in Retail> configure> prices and discounts, we indicated that the two groups are commercial prices.

Importantly, the two stores point to a single database, I hope these comments help you, we do it in AX 2012

    Hi Fato,
If I understand right, you need find different prices in sales (purchase) orders for specific stores. Stores are represented by dimensions (location in your case).

    1. You have to set which dimensions are involved in price finding. It is in Dimension group-> Item or storage dimension -> General -> Use in price search (For purchase and sales).
    2. Then you can use this dimension in trade agrmt. In order line price is changed every time when you change dimension.

I hope it will help little bit.

    Daniel.

    Dear Daniel,

What you mentioned in your answer was the first thing we tried, expecting that it will work in the POS. However, setting prices by dimension in the trade agreements only applies to back office sales orders and purchase orders.

We came to find out that setting different prices in different stores is controlled by distribution groups which are a bit complicated to set up and we finally ditched the whole idea of different prices.
