Management Reporter Upgrade Error

We had MR2012 working with GP 2010 but we did not use it.  We used FRx instead.  We upgraded this past weekend to GP 2013 successfully.  We also installed MR2012-CU8-en-us to be on the latest version.  Now we cannot use MR2012.  We get a message "The version of the database is incorrect.  Install the correct version of the database".  Has anyone seen this before?  It does not say if the GP2013 is the wrong version or if MR2012 is the wrong version.  I can try a complete reinstall of MR2012 but I thought I would check with others first to see if I just missed a simple step.

    Susan,

        Thanks for your response.  I was running the correct client.  It was the database upgrade that I missed.  I did not notice the small entry in the task list of the configuration console to upgrade the database.  After I completed that task I could connect successfully.

    1.  The only time I have run into this there was a mismatch on my client.  Did you also upgrade the client install.?

    2.  Did you check that you are launching the right client:  "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics ERP\Management Reporter\2.1\Client\ReportDesigner.exe" which is where the default goes.
