many sales channels integrating into one GP company?

Hi all,

I have a customer who has multiple websites, all selling the same stock items.

The stock is physically held centrally. They have just one company that buys, controls stock, ships goods, sends invoices etc.

They want a customer to be able to log on to any of the multiple websites they choose, order a product, have that website check back to GP for available stock, if stock is available allow the customer to continue with the order, have that order integrated back in to GP etc.

Has anyone any experience with this kind of a set up? What eCommerce system did you use? Any inherent problems with the multiple websites feeding into one GP company? What to watch out for?

Appreciate any advice or recommendations for an eCommerce partner. Has to be able to handle credit card processing in US and Europe.

    Hi Richard, I'd give my left 'you know what' to get to Atlanta!!...meet all you guys face to face....but its unlikely at this stage. Things change, I'll let you know.

    Check Nodus or Ignify.  Both have solutions as well as others that escape me at the moment.

    Thanks for that Greg. Much appreciated.

    Are there any eCommerce solutions out there that could do the job? The client would rather get as much of this 'off the shelf' as possible.

    You should consider using GP web services for your solution. GP web services is used to provide external applications access to your GP data. The multiple order entry websites you mention could communicate with GP web services to check inventory and integrate sales orders into GP.


    Also, GP 11 web services will be hosted by Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) instead of IIS which should make GP web services a lot more reliable. Check out this blog post for more information:
