Good morning, afternoon, or evening depending on your location!

Integrating Cisco with On-Premises Business Central can be achieved by leveraging APIs, middleware, or custom development. Here’s a general approach to guide you:
    1. Cisco APIs:
Cisco provides APIs for various services, such as Webex, networking, and collaboration tools. Identify the specific Cisco service you want to integrate and explore its API documentation. This will help you understand the endpoints and data exchange formats.
    2. Business Central APIs:
Business Central has APIs that allow external systems to interact with its data. Use these APIs to connect Cisco services with Business Central. Ensure that your on-premises environment is configured to expose the necessary endpoints.
    3. Middleware Solutions:
Consider using middleware platforms like Microsoft Power Automate or Azure Logic Apps to facilitate the integration. These tools can act as a bridge between Cisco and Business Central, handling data transformation and communication.
    4. Custom Development:
If out-of-the-box solutions don’t meet your needs, you can develop a custom integration using AL code in Business Central. This may involve creating custom pages, tables, or web services to interact with Cisco systems.
    5. On-Premises Data Gateway:
For on-premises environments, you may need to set up an On-Premises Data Gateway to enable secure communication between Business Central and external systems like Cisco.
    6. Testing and Validation:
Once the integration is set up, thoroughly test the data flow and functionality to ensure seamless operation.

    Hope this helps some!

Sorry, as far as I know, Cisco is a network device, and Business Central is a program installed on the OS system, which can be accessed as long as the network is connected.
So is this a Cisco problem? I suggest posting to the Cisco forum.

    Thanks.

Hi there, Are you still exploring ways to integrate Cisco with your on-premises Business Central environment?

This can be a bit tricky since most native or third-party integrations are cloud-first and don’t always account for on-prem setups. But the good news is—it’s definitely possible with the right approach.

At NovelVox, we’ve worked with several customers running on-premises Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and integrated it successfully with Cisco UCCX, UCCE, and Webex Contact Center platforms.

    Check here: https://www.novelvox.com/integrations/ms-dynamics-cisco-cti-connector/

Here’s how we typically approach it:

✅ Middleware Layer: Since Business Central on-premises doesn’t expose APIs the same way as cloud deployments, we use a secure connector layer that communicates with Cisco CTI and your local Business Central instance.

✅ Custom Adapters: We build or configure adapters that allow you to:

    • Show real-time screen pops based on incoming caller ID

    • Enable click-to-dial within Business Central

    • Log call activity and interactions inside the CRM

✅ Agent Desktop Options: You can either use your native Cisco Finesse desktop or our Unified Agent Desktop, which brings Business Central and call controls together in one window.

If you're still looking for a reliable integration path, we’d be happy to share more details or show you a working setup. Let me know if you’d like to schedule a quick demo or talk through your exact environment. 😊

    Best regards,
