what do i have to assign in security roles for the individual teacher to see ONLY the courses he owns ?

You have to assign the user level read privilege to the Course entity in the Teacher's security role so that only those courses which are owned by Teacher will be shown to him.
As you have created a Team of teachers and assigned the team "Teacher" security role, all the teachers which are in the team would be able to see each other's records.Please mark as verified if the answer is useful.
