Scanning of Bar Codes in Inventory Items

Hi:

In what field in the item card can you enter numeric characters for bar code scanning of inventory during point of sale?

We entered that information into Item Reference Entries window, as shown below.

But, the client says that scanning is not working in the sense that pricing and other inventory data is not displaying when a customer checks out in line at his store.

If it's because he has UPC codes instead of bar codes, is there another window where the UPC codes need to be entered?

Thanks!

John

That is the best place to do it. Let’s you use differing UoMs or variants. UPC makes no difference. Given POS is not standard and is either from appsource or a custom extension, is the issue there instead? Are there conflicting barcodes? GTIN is another field which is on the item card you could try out
