We recently joined a few devices in Azure AD but then connecting to Dynamics NAV 2018 fails. It complains about the SID.
If I type whoami /user, it's different from the dbo.user table. And that could be correct since I used my Azure AD login for logging in to my device. Also I am using Windows Hello but that doesn't seem related.
Is it just configuring Dynamics NAV SSO with Azure AD? I can't really find a good answer online.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
That is a good question. I am not experienced with Jet Reports. Maybe Jet Reports support can assist or anyone in this forum that had to address the same scenario with Jet Reports and Azure AD joined devices.
Thanks.
Thank you for your reply.
To be more specific, we are using jetreports. Logging in to Navision itself is working fine. But the Azure AD user gets another SID than the NAV user table has because it's no longer directly using the on-premises user (as the device is Azure AD Joined).
So maybe there is a way to get the SIDs from Azure AD in the NAV user table? Because Jetreports is checking for that SID and it doesn't match so it fails.
Hello,
The authentication mail address on the user page should be the Office 365 mail address for Azure AD logging. You can either use UserName or Windows Account.
What is the exact error you receive?
Thanks.
