Dimensions Values Visibility

I am trying to post a supplier invoice in a nominal account. The nominal account has a dimension set with only 2 mandatory values out of a possible list of 50. When i select the dimension all 50 values are visible and not the 2. I am given an error if i try to post in the other 48 but ideally only the 2 mandatory codes should be visible to avoid confusion by the users.

    Hi

    Currently this is not possible without customization. But since we have "allowable" dimension then user only should see those dimensions.  

    My recommendation is to submit your idea here and post the link here to get some vote

    Hello,

    If you want to see only the Allowable Dimension, on a GL Account, then setup a Default Dimension for the GL Account, with Allowable Dimensions flagged:

    Thank you Steve but this doesnt solve my problem. I only want to have the mandatory codes visible when the user selects the dimension value.

    Anymore ideas? Can this be done with coding?

    Hi

    Coding is the only solution that I can think about it right now. You can use the same page and add visible field to it. Then code to not show.

    Do know Visual Basic / AL Language, and needed information (for example see link below)? If yes then you can do. In general this is done through a partner or developer.
