how to query contact data based on relatioship type

Good Day,

I am a new CRM admin/user. So please bear with me here.

I have a large number of accounts and contacts. A small percentage of the accounts are vendors, partners, etc. I've set their relationship type as such under the respective accounts.

I'd like to be able to create a marketing list that contains only true customers. ie. those whose relationship type is either undefined or NOT vendor, etc.

What's the best way to do that please?

    John,

    Create an Advanced Find View where you set the attribute to not equal Vendor or does not contain data. Then create a Marketing List and use Manage Members to add those accounts that meet the view to the list. Reminder - you can only have one type of record either Contacts or Accounts in a Marketing List.
