Having issues with creation and import of bank import FLAT TEXT file. Configuration appears to require a column separator even though Flat File is selected.

You can check the steps to set up the custom Import file through Assisted Setup by selecting Set up a bank statement file import format.

Thanks Judy - but this DOES NOT work for txt files ONLY csv files.

The file received is a flat text file with no column separator.

Even if you specify the length of the column - this is ignored.

Your data exchange definition shows that the file should have a column separator of comma. Have you tried changing that setting?

This issue was solved by setting the Reading/Writing Codeunit instead of the Reading/Writing XMLport.

In terms of the number format, as the amount is as Decimal and then multiple by 0.01.
