'msdyn_project' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'msdyn_islinkedtomsprojectclient'

I receive the above error when attempting to read a project from Dynamics365 CRM PSA.

It looks like the schema is mis-matched.

Can anybody advise what is needed in order to make this work?

Regarding Saad's post; this gets me past this particular error - kind of an amazing oversight by Microsoft.  The graphic is hard to read here.  The publisher should have the prefix of msdyn and the field name and the schema name should both read msdyn_islinkedtomsprojectclient; the field type should be Two Options (simple).  Publish it, restart MS Project and connect and you at least get past this error.

Nice job figuring this out, Saad.

I don't know why it's broken. But you can ask MS Support regarding this. But you can try to add the field to check if it resolves the issue.

    Saad,

Are you able to advise why this field is not currently present on the entity? While just adding the field to get it to work makes sense, I would also like to understand why it is broken at the moment.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the response.

I'm trying to access the Dynamics 365 project with the new PSA add-in for MS Project.

I was hoping to understand why that field was not present in the current schema.

We are keen to retain the Business Process on Projects.

Is there any way to get this working without having to disable the Business Process for the project?

Why would disabling the Business Process ensure this field is present on the Project entity?

Will we be able to turn Business Process back on and still have this field available?

Appreciate any additional info you can provide.

Please check if msdyn_islinkedtomsprojectclient field is present on the project entity. If not add the same with the same prefix.

    Do the following:

    1. Publish all customization.

    2. Disable the Business Process flow available on the Project entity. (Project stages).

    3. Create a new record of Project and make sure BPF is not appearing on the form.

    Thanks.
