Hi everyone

We are using PSA and would like to move to Project Operations. I have few questions, I hope you can help with:

  1. Does Project Operations integrate with Business Central?
  2. We received the Project Operation trial email.
    1. In the Admin center, i found Project Operations and when attempting to install, it fails. I must be doing something wrong. (Getting Error:
Installation Failed: DB.PDInvoker Wait for PD completion")
  3. Does the app need to be installed on a new environment? Is this really the case?

Thank you

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Mouda.

    1. There's no OOTB integration to BC. At the moment you need to build a custom integration.

    2. I recommend opening a support request for this. It's the right channel to diagnose these kinds of errors.

    3. ProjOps needs to be installed in an environment that does NOT have PSA installed in it. PSA and ProjOps can't coexist in the same environment.

    Thank you, Antti

    Question if you don't mind.

While creating a sandbox environment, I saw Project Operations as one of the apps to install. along with Customer, Sales, Field. I proceeded with the install for all apps excluding Sales & Field

All went fine, then I added the Sales Enterprise App. and everything looks operational.

Do you think this can be used as a production and which version is it (Lite, etc).?

Will this work with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan - (IUR)?

    Thank you in advance

Hi Mouda. ProjOps installation from PPAC is a Lite deployment as long as you haven't installed the Dual Write solutions before installing Project Operations. If you have DW installed from PPAC and you're then installing ProjOps, the deployment is considered an integrated deployment. In this case you won't be able to use Project Operations without F&O. You actually won't be able to use any Customer Engagement apps properly due to created dependencies.

So it sounds like what you did was an installation of ProjOps Lite. You will need paid licenses to run ProjOps or you need to purchase a partner sandbox offer (prod offers not yet available). You are not in compliance if you're using ProjOps with CE Plan IURs.
