One of our clients is migrating from on-premises version to SaaS version of BC and I want to upload opening balances.

Is there any way to generate inventoy report containing, bin wise, lot wise, expiration date wise stock in BC?

I have the same question (0)

You can generate a physical inventory journal in on-prem, export it and import it to your online instance as an item journal.

Remember to pay attention to the cost prices so you get them correct.

    Thanks for reply.

Can you please guide me how to export physical inventory journal with lot, expiration date details.

I tried it through config pack but both data missing in downloaded excel sheet.

Item Ledger Entry page should have Bin, Lot No., Expiration Date fields visible. If You filter by Open=Yes, You should be able to get all entries.

Here You also have the Cost Amount (Actual) to have the latest updated Inventory value.

Exporting this to Excel, and copying values to configuration Package template - it can be imported right back in BC.

The easiest way is simply to use the open in Excel feature when you are in the physical inventory journal.

Hi, Kaspars, unfortunately, there is no Bin in Item Ledger Entries, and Bin info is in Warehouse Ledger Entries. I think this is where BC/NAV is relatively weak. There is no perfect inventory list.

So, I agree with Inge, physical inventory journal is a good way to go.

Using Open in Excel can easily export all the content on the page.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
