Hi,

We're having a problem posting picking list containing certain BOMs. If a certain product (BOM) is included we get the "At least one journal line (BOM line) must be attached to this line." error message and the posting is cancelled.

I've checked out the BOM and it appears correct with no errors, checked out the products and they appear correct. We have a development and production environment and the same product posts on DEV, I've compared products and BOMs and the appear identical.

Does anyone have any ideas what to check, as I've run out of things I can think of.

Hi. Please check if that product or any of its components has got "Auto-report as finished" checked (engineering section of a released product form). This message is typical to BOM Journal which only has a reporting line (receipt) without any consumption lines (issue). If "Auto-report as finished" is checked, system can be trying to create a BOM journal behind the scenes. If that item has no BOM (or because of few other possible reasons it is missing consumption), system will throw an error.

One more thing to be clear - when talking about "Picking list" do you mean Production Picking list Journal or the other one, used for picking items for shipment (and alike)? My suggestion still holds - I was just curious which is it.
