Dear
we setup an allocation rule , but we want to restrict the rule to only look at the debit side of the source account is this possible ? or would this require customization ?

Hi Silvano,
This requires a customization.
A possible workaround is posting your debit balance from the account A to newly setup account B and then allocation only the transactions on account B.
Best regards,
Ludwig
You mean manual right?
You need some customization
Yeah, the workaround outlined would require a manual posting to a new account. Not really nice but maybe acceptable? If not, then you need some code modifications. Best regards, Ludwig
Hello,
Is it possible to set the 'DB/CR requirement' of the Destination Main account to credit, this way if the source account is debit it wont be transferred. (only if you can set the destination account to be only credit)
Thank you,
Hello Kaled,
I think this approach would generate the allocation journal but you might not be able to post it because of this requirement. Can you double check that?
Dear Ludwig,
Yes exactly this is what happened, the journal gets created if you specified "Proposal only' in the periodic job, but cannot be posted.
Still it needs customization.
