Can you check defined Contacts in Customer Card and make sure those contacts are acutely available in Contacts? It is a chance that you have a contact in customer card that has been deleted from contact list. Also, if error show you the contact number can you please recreate it in contact list?

Looks like an out of synch scenario. Could you please update the mail address with a bogus one and try again so that the contact is getting recreated. After that update the mail address to the correct one and resynch.
