Removing purchasing transactions from fixed assets

I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove an invoice that was voided in AP from our Fixed Assets Purchasing Transactions.  The invoice was entered in the AP module to our fixed asset clearing account.  The wrong amount was posted to fixed assets so the invoice was voided.  Looking at the FA Clearing account everything cleared out of the g/l okay when the invoice was voided.  How can I remove this from the fixed assets purchasing transactions?

Was this an improvement to a Fixed Asset or is this a new asset.

    This was a new asset.

Since this is a new asset why don't you retire the asset and create a new asset when you create the invoice again.  In fixed asset you can not delete the asset easily so it is best to retire.

If I read this correctly, you haven't actually added this to fixed assets but the invoice in is the purchases list ready to add to Fixed Assets.

You should be able to click on the Purchases button on the Fixed Assets card window, tick the asset and click the Delete button.  That will remove it from the list to add.

Yes, you are correct Heather.  I haven't actually added this to fixed assets.  Your suggestion worked.  Thanks for your help.
